How to allow Alphanumeric/Longer entries to be typed into the ‘Candidate Number’ field

To allow alphanumeric entries and entries longer than four characters to be typed into the 'Candidate Number' field, such as a BTEC Learner Registration Number, please follow the steps below:

(1) Run the ConfigEditorGUI app, and open up the ‘ExamWritePadSettings.json’ file inside it.

(2) Scroll down and select the option called "AllowAlphaNumericCandidateNumbers".

(3) Change the current value from ‘0’ to ‘1’.

(4) Then scroll down and select the next option called "AllowLongCandidateNumbers".

(5) Change the current value from ‘0’ to ‘1’.

(6) Finally, click the 'Save' button on the menu bar.
