If you have a Mac M1 and you are installing Read&Write you could be asked to install Rosetta. Rosetta is an emulator designed to bridge the transition between Intel and Apple processors. In short, it translates apps built for Intel so they will run on Apple Silicon (like the M1 chip).
When you first install Read&Write you will see the screen below, select install, Rosetta will then install and then Read&Write will continue to install.
