The Claro SAPI5 Voice Server will run on your Windows machine and make your local SAPI5 voices available to the ClaroRead Extension.

If you already have the ClaroRead Extension installed
Step 1
Download and install a SAPI5 voice in your chosen language (you can use our Downloading New ClaroRead Voices guide).
You can skip this step if you already have a voice installed.
Step 2
Download and install the Claro SAPI5 Voice Server.
Step 3
Close all instances of the Chrome/Edge browser.
Note: If you have installed any websites as apps from Chrome or Edge then these will need to be closed as well. If you’re not sure, restart your computer completely and that will ensure everything is restarted.
Step 4
Reopen the Chrome/Edge browser
When you open up the ClaroRead Extension settings you should find the local SAPI5 voice you have installed in the list of available voices. If the voice you installed matches the same language as your browser language then the locally installed voice will be set as your default voice the first time you run the ClaroRead Extension
If you don’t have the ClaroRead Extension installed yet
Step 1

Install the ClaroRead Extension from the Chrome or Edge web store.
