How to remove a Chrome profile from a Chromebook or Chrome browser

Chrome Browser

1. Click on the Chrome profile icon in the top right corner of the Chrome browser. This icon should be next to your URL bar and extension icons.

2. Click on the gear icon next to “Other people”.

3. A window will pop up with all chrome profiles linked to your device. Each profile will have its own tile. When your cursor moves over one of those tiles a vertical three dot icon will appear. 

4. On your profile click on the three dot icon and click “Remove this person”

You'll be given an opportunity to confirm your intentions, and you'll need to click Remove This Person once more. 

*This will not delete anything from your cloud account. Once you sign back in everything will appear again*

Chromebook

1. On the Chromebook sign-in screen, select the profile you want to remove.

2. Next to the profile name, select the Down arrow .

3. Select Remove this user.

4. In the box that appears, select Remove this user.
