Inserting Geometry Symbols with EquatIO

You can use EquatIO to insert Geometry symbols using our simple and advanced tab. Below are some of the symbols you can add and the command to add them:

(Note: List is not all inclusive)

Cube root or nth root:

  1. Type cu, then hit the down arrow and enter to select cube root.

Cubed root

    2. Type nt, then hit the down arrow and select to the nth root

Nth roots

Congruence symbol:

  1. Type co and hit enter

Line segment: gmath_latex \overline{CD}

  1. Type lin and hit enter then type CD

Line segment

Ray: gmath_latex \overrightarrow{CD}

  1. Type ra and hit enter, then CD

Line:

  1. Click on the pre-populated button and fine tune in LaTeX tab.

Line AB

Angle:

  1. Type ang and hit enter, then ABC

Perpendicular:

  1. Type pe and hit enter.

  1. Type sub, hit the down arrow and enter. Move out by hitting the right arrow or Tab key.
