WriQ Score

The “percentage error free”, i.e. percentage of all words that are correct.

Word Count

How many words there are in the document.

Sentence Count

How many sentences there are in the document.

Vocabulary Maturity Age

This shows what WriQ thinks the writing age of the document is.

 We take the age of every word (ignoring unknown ones like names), and work each word’s age, sort them, and take the 95th percentile of the range of ages.


Correct Word Sequences

A Correct Word Sequence (CWS) is two adjacent words that are correctly spelled, capitalized, and punctuated, and grammatically and semantically acceptable within the context of the sentence.  

 In WriQ, the Correct Word Sequence score shows the total number of Correct Word Sequences in the document.

Incorrect Word Sequences

An Incorrect Word Sequence is two adjacent words that do not qualify as a CWS.   

 In WriQ, the Incorrect Word Sequence score shows the total number of Incorrect Word Sequences in the document.

Time Spent Writing

This shows how many minutes the student spent working on the document. This counts the actual time the student spent typing and editing the document, not any time spent just reading it.
